EDMONTON, AB (April 13, 2017): The Alberta Enterprise Group (AEG) is pleased to announce Brock Harrison as Director of Communications and Policy starting April 25.
Harrison brings more than 13 years of experience in journalism, marketing, politics and public policy to the organization. He joins AEG after spending two years at an Edmonton marketing and advertising agency leading content strategy and public relations for several national clients. Prior to that, he spent five years at the Alberta Legislature overseeing communications strategy and policy development for the Official Opposition. He’s also a contributor to the National Post and frequent public affairs commentator for CBC Radio and 630 CHED.
“Brock deeply understands the major public policy issues confronting Alberta businesses and he brings a wealth of Alberta-specific experience to the role,” said Josh Bilyk, President of the Alberta Enterprise Group. “He will be an asset to our Board and our members as we keep working to position Alberta as a destination for investment and innovation.
Harrison will be responsible for all communications with AEG’s stakeholders, the media, and the general public. He will work with its staff, Board, and members to build and execute strategies to help further AEG’s mandate to support Alberta businesses.
“Alberta will always be home and I’m extremely passionate about making sure it’s a place where ideas can be pursued, hard work is rewarded, and opportunity is created,” Harrison said. “I’m looking forward to joining this exceptional group of entrepreneurs in helping to build this future for our province.”
