Canada Connects Mission to Quebec - May 15-17
The
Alberta Enterprise Group (AEG) believes there is an incredible amount of
opportunity for regions of Canada to work together to achieve economic growth.
To that end, AEG works to bring business leaders and decision-makers from
Canada and around the world together to share information and build
relationships.
Industry must take the lead in building relationships that
foster a greater understanding and mutually beneficial working relationships. That’s why AEG has
organized a series of high-profile initiatives in Geneva, Switzerland,
Washington, D.C., and Ottawa.
Our vision for
the Canada Connects Quebec mission is to emphasize and raise the profile of
Quebec-Alberta interconnectedness and improve overall economic ties between the
two provinces.
Special thanks to our sponsors for help making this important event a reality: Suncor, Questerre, Enbridge, North American Construction Group, McCarthy Tetrault, and Canadian Oil Sands.

About the Canada Connects Quebec Mission
The Canada Connects Quebec Mission, with support from sponsors Suncor Energy and Questerre, will pack high-powered networking and information sessions into a three-day, two-city event.
Beginning in Montreal, mission delegates will participate in a morning session entitled “partnering with Alberta businesses,” hosted by the Montreal Board of Trade, focusing on procurement, career and investment opportunities. Delegates will participate in a Compass Quebec seminar to give Albertans a “Quebec 101” – highlighting trends in business, politics and culture.
A keynote address to the Montreal business community from Canadian Oil Sands President and CEO and Syncrude Chairman Marcel Coutu provide an overview of Canadian energy development and maximizing environmental performance. The day will be capped off by a networking reception with young Quebec entrepreneurs and professionals followed by a VIP dinner.
In Quebec City, AEG will partner with prominent Quebec economic development organization Quebec International to discuss Alberta’s vision for natural resource development and procurement and investment opportunities for Quebec and Alberta businesses. The day will also feature key meetings with government and political leaders.
A keynote address to the Quebec City business community will outline opportunities and industry efforts to meet social and environmental objectives. A highlight of the day will be a dinner showcasing local Quebec cuisine and culture.
