ICE District is great economic news for Albertans during an otherwise challenging time.
This multi-billion dollar sports and entertainment development is transforming downtown Edmonton and creating a diverse range of unique investment opportunities. ICE District will develop more than 25 acres in the heart of the city. Built around the 1.1 million square foot Rogers Place arena, the district will introduce 1.3 million square feet of premium office space, 270,000 square feet of retail space and more than 1,000 residential units. ICE District will bring more than 4 million visitors to downtown Edmonton annually.
On March 3rd more than 100 Alberta Enterprise Group members got a sneak peak of the ICE District and heard directly from Oilers Entertainment Group/Katz Group senior executives Bob Nicholson (President and CEO), Kevin Lowe (Vice Chair), Tim Shipton (Vice President, Corporate Communications and Government Relations), Stew MacDonald (Chief Commercial Officer) and Glen Scott (Senior Vice President, Real Estate) about their vision for this historic development.
Guided by representatives from Ice District/Rogers Place project construction manager PCL, participants got a close up look at the project and a detailed overview of how this complex project is being designed and executed.
Special thanks to event partners Rogers, Oilers Entertainment Group and PCL for making this unique experience available to AEG members.
