This past week, over 2,000 professionals from across the construction, design, and real estate industries came together in Calgary for BUILDEX Alberta. This 2-day trade show was a vibrant showcase of innovation, collaboration, and industry leadership. Events like this remind us how essential these sectors are to Alberta’s growth and to Canada’s economic foundation, however, they also serve as a reminder that we must actively address the challenges hampering their success, including workforce shortages, regulatory delays, and rising construction costs that impact competitiveness and investment.
