EDMONTON, AB. (February 20, 2019) – On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Alberta Enterprise Group (AEG), we are pleased to announce the appointment of John Liston as President.
Mr. Liston was the successful candidate after a rigorous recruitment process and assumed the role effective February 15, 2019.
“I am thrilled to welcome John as our new President,” said Terry O’Flynn, Board Chairman. “I am confident his experience and expertise will be a tremendous asset to the AEG team as we advocate for our members and businesses across our province.”
Mr. Liston joins AEG from his most recent role as the former CEO of Clearpoint Benefits and Retirement Solutions. He will work alongside the AEG Board of Directors to set the strategic direction, as well as manage the daily operations of the organization.

Alberta has so many talented and creative business leaders who want to be a part of moving our province forward,” said Liston. “This is a vital time for our country and we must find solutions that improve our competitiveness, help attract investment and kickstart real growth in our economy.”
The AEG is a member based non-profit organization comprised of business leaders across Alberta that represent major industries and companies both small and large. AEG advocates for public policy issues by providing advice to government, promoting sound policies and providing forums for the exchange of ideas and best practices.
