Zach is a software engineer specializing in AI development and currently leads the team at SWIFT learning focusing on implementing and optimizing their AI technology – SWIFT AI.

Zach’s career began in the oil and gas industry, where he worked in land and joint venture roles and as a Clean Technology Analyst at an environmental non-governmental organization where he contributed to developing Alberta’s clean technology industry association. Later, he worked in the broadband telecommunications and power-meter sector, in various software roles. 

Zach has bachelors’ in commerce and computer science by education, and conducted research in machine learning in the field of bio-cyber security. He won the Canadian Youth Environmental Leadership Award during his undergrad for developing Student Energy’s pilot chapter model in Calgary that eventually grew to multiple university chapters internationally.

Zach’s diverse background has provided him with a broad range of technical skills combined with industry insights that he applies to his role at SWIFT Learning and their clients.
