Mark has owned and operated many businesses in the Edmonton area throughout his career, mainly in construction and advertising. In the early 2000s Mark was the Minister of Economic Development & Tourism during the 2001 Ralph Klien government. Currently Mark owns and operates Total Modular, a modular manufacturing company located in South-East Edmonton.

When Mark was in the Alberta Government he had the opportunity to tour many modular production facilities where he saw an opportunity for a sustainable “built-indoors” business model for housing and remote jobsite infrastructure. Mark has put all of his efforts into growing this business from the ground up and has found success working with First Nations to provide housing and critical infrastructure buildings. To date Total Modular has worked with over 30 First Nations in western Canada to deliver much needed housing and public infrastructure.
